Thank You for a Great First Week of School!

Our scholars are back and ready to learn! This week, our schools were abuzz with the sites and sounds of being filled with educators and students, teaching and learning.

We navigated the typical first week of school issues as our students, families, faculty, and staff transition to a new school year, however, this year first week of school issues were drastically less than in the past. That is a credit to our school and district teams, working diligently to prepare for the arrival of our scholars. We continue to work to improve our relationships and develop better systems. This opening displayed that we are moving in the right direction with both of those goals, continuing to learn and improve along the way.

School tours this week highlighted how excited our scholars are to return to school and their eagerness to learn - and our educators were excited to welcome them back to a new school year! The buildings were immaculate, highlighting how hard our buildings, grounds, and custodial staff have been working to prepare a safe and welcoming learning environment. The extra efforts in Heritage and Vails Gate, as we welcomed our school communities back to new and refreshed spaces was especially appreciated. Students were registered and assigned their school buildings. Schedules were available for students as they learned a new routine. School buses are learning their students and families, refining their routes along the way. Our Food Services staff had their usual smiles and gleeful greetings as they meet every Goldback, every day! Each member of our team plays a critical role in educating our children.
